STANFORD NEUROSURGICAL QUALITY RESEARCH GROUP
Leveraging clinical and health services research expertise to make Stanford a leader in the field of high-quality neurosurgical care
Overview
The Neurosurgical Quality Study Group (NQRG) is a partnership between the School of Medicine and Stanford Hospital and Clinics (SHC) that conducts research regarding neurosurgical clinical care with the goals of improving the quality and value of care delivered at SHC and contributing to the national conversation regarding neurosurgical care and outcomes. NQRG work is used to assist SHC in creating quality improvement efforts that are evidence-based, specific to neurosurgery, and represent real opportunities to improve clinical performance. Findings from NQRG projects are disseminated in the form of peer-reviewed journal articles, as well as presented to SHC colleagues.
The NQRG both conducts its own research and advises investigators on their projects.
The NQRG welcomes the involvement of medical students, residents, attendings and any other staff who would like to participate in and/or lead the research process.
