Tharin Lab News

Dr. Tharin was one of four receipients of the 2015 McCormick Faculty Award. The award was established to support the advancement of women in medicine and/or medical research directly, or by supporting the mentoring, training and encouragement of women pursuing the study of medicine, in teaching medicine, and engaging in medical research.

The $30,000 prize will fund Dr. Tharin's research through 2017.

Dr. Suzanne Tharin served as a guest faculty member for the Cleveland Spine Review: Hands-On 2015. The  comprehensive course involved time in the cadaver laboratory, didactic sessions, and open discussions. The sessions were focused on the fundamentals of spine surgery, particularly biomechanical considerations, and the surgery decision-making process.
